LCC

I'm in the library/ computer room at LCC at the moment, awaiting the fate of my poor incomplete portfolio.

End to the 'Last minute'?
After ordering prints through the internet Monday (what was suppossed to be next day delivery- special delivery, but has yet to arrive), I attempted printing glossy at home Tuesday. However, this led to be problematic when my ink ran out. Spending the £40 I had access to that day buying more, along with paper, I remembered that college had fantastic A3 printers. Unfortunately, I could only get 8 prints out of the college printers before my remaining £8 expired, and so I had to wait for more... which arrived too late to do printing there, or here at LCC (which we also tried, but had just closed the library when we arrived). Attempting emergency prints yesterday evening, the new black ink ran out after the first print, and finally the printing rooms here opend 10 mins after they were suppossed to, and the computer took a good 5 minutes to turn on (first switch on), leaving me but 15 minutes to do some prints until the printer started flashing red, I had to find the technition, and then deposit my portfolio.
Unfortunately, the 'last minute' doesn't account for printers plotting against you.

What LCC is like
Fairly nice building.. reminds me of an art gallery's archetecture. Very simple and clean. Lovely big hallways, and cute signage on the walls. I've found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and the computer rooms i've spent most of my time in to have comfortable chairs. It's a little irratating not having labels on the menu that comes up for printing to tell you which printer you are printing to (you have to know the A3 colour printer is 'pa14' when choosing which printer to send to, rather than it being labelledf 'coloura3', but I'm sure that's easy enough to get used to, or at very least gives you a small workout checking the printers :)
